May's Clay Flowers opened in 2005. I am from Hanover Park, Illinois. I enjoy working with clay. By painting the vibrant oil colors into the clay sculptures, it makes the clay objects come alive and look realistic. I have spent my career rendering versions of orchids and flowers. I use Polymer air-dry clay, floral wires and oil paints to created flowers. Each petal of flower and leaf was formed, shaped and sculpted with hand tools. After drying, the petal pieces are painted with vibrant oil colors in realistic details and then assembled into a whole flower. The Artwork is placed in a pot or on driftwood for long lasting decorations..Show Specials:
