These carvings are sourced directly from Kenyan carvers. The wood is sustainably sourced mahogany, rosewood, and ebony. After harvesting, the trees are brought to the carving center, where the carvings come to life.The carvers live in their traditional villages but work together as a collective. Their skills are passed down from generation to generation, keeping this valuable skill alive. Highly detailed, the carvings are based on the animals surrounding the carvers every day.
The savings are solid and carved from one piece of wood. Being able to carve is a valuable skill that allows them to support their families.
